Early Intervention
Also called Phase 1 treatment, early intervention begins between ages 6–10 to guide jaw growth and correct developing bite issues before they become more severe. This proactive approach allows orthodontists to address problems such as crowding, crossbites, and jaw misalignment while the bones are still growing and more adaptable. By gently shaping the dental arches and creating space for incoming permanent teeth, early intervention can make future orthodontic treatment shorter, simpler, and more comfortable. It also helps improve a child’s bite function and facial symmetry during important growth years.
Benefits of Starting Early
