Ortho FAQ
At Dental Kidz Club, we give parents and patients quick, clear answers to the most common questions about orthodontic care. This can include everything from when your child should have their first orthodontic evaluation, to how long treatment might take, and what options — like braces or Invisalign® — are available. You’ll also find guidance on what to expect during adjustments, how to manage minor discomfort, and the best ways to keep teeth and gums healthy during treatment. We even cover practical concerns like treatment costs, insurance coverage, and how to handle orthodontic emergencies, so you can feel confident and prepared every step of the way.
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends a first check-up by age 7.
Most orthodontic treatments last 12–24 months, depending on the case.
Some mild discomfort may occur after adjustments, but it usually fades quickly.
Brush after every meal, floss daily, and attend regular check-ups at Dental Kidz Club.
We proudly accept Denti-cal, Medi-cal, Cal- Optima, IEHP, and PPO insurances. We also offer financing services. Call to speak with a Dental Kidz Club team member!
