Usually my son has a great experience at this office and we have been going here for 2 years. However, today the receptionist told off my nanny. My child’s nanny advocated that it wasn’t necessary for my 5 year old son to be tied down when getting a cavity filling, if he is willing to lay still on his own. The dentist wasn’t wanting to let him lay on his own. And the receptionist started acting extremely aggressive towards my nanny, telling her if she doesn’t like it she can go somewhere else and did you know you can pick the dentists you take the child to. This is completely unprofessional!! My child is already nervous about the fact that he had to get a cavity filled and then he has to watch his nanny get verbally attacked by the ghetto receptionist. I thought this was a children’s dentistry? Shouldn’t they be open to hearing guardians advocate. Also after the whole ordeal, the dentist agreed to let him lay on his own. They proceeded with treatment and after giving the numbing shots, the dentist immediately went to work on my child’s teeth. Again my nanny advocated asking that they wait some time until the medication fully numbs the area. The dentist tells her that baby teeth are different and proceeded with the filling. When I personally go to the dentist, after a numbing shot I am waiting for at least 5-10 mins before the procedure. It’s hard to believe that children don’t have the same waiting period. My heart breaks thinking about what a terrifying morning my son had at the dentist, and I can only hope my child isn’t completely scared of the dentist forever. I will not be sending my child back here again and I don’t recommend this dentistry to anyone.
